Registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare as set up to receive foreign patients. To register, a hospital must carry medical malpractice insurance and have a specialist in each department it registers.
Hospitals without this registration treat foreign patients too. Registration is for hospitals that also want to handle booking and guidance.
The registration does not say which languages are spoken. Please call ahead to check.
If you cannot make yourself understood, call 1330 and an interpreter will join the call. Inside Korea, dial it without an area code.
Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese are available 24 hours. Other languages may only be available at certain times.
