I have a fever
Recommended department — Internal medicine
When to go straight to the emergency room
- A seizure (febrile convulsion)
- Confusion or reduced consciousness
- A stiff neck with a severe headache
- Fever in a baby under 3 months old
- Fast breathing or blue lips
If you have any of the symptoms above, call 119 or go to the nearest emergency room.
What should I do?
Adults start with internal medicine, children with pediatrics. Take a fever reducer, drink plenty of fluids and watch how it goes — but see a doctor if a temperature above 38.5°C lasts more than two days.
At night: for children, look for a Moonlight Children's Hospital (evening pediatric care); for adults, the National Emergency Medical Center portal (e-gen.or.kr) lists clinics open at night. On Muromuro, "After-Hours Care for Children" shows which places are open right now in your area.
