What this board covers

This board covers musculoskeletal conditions such as disc problems in the lower back and neck, knee and shoulder pain, arthritis, and rheumatic disease. In the sub-rooms (back and neck / knee and joints / arthritis and rheumatic disease) you can talk about specific areas. For care, orthopedics (정형외과) is the starting point; neurosurgery (신경외과) if nerve symptoms are clear, and rheumatology (류마티스내과) for autoimmune arthritis.

Go to a doctor quickly in these cases

  • When your legs go weak, or you cannot control your bladder or bowels (emergency — cauda equina syndrome is suspected)
  • When pain bad enough to wake you at night continues along with fever or weight loss
  • When you cannot put any weight on it at all because of pain after a fall (a fracture is suspected)
  • When a joint is swollen, hot, and red, and you have a fever (septic arthritis is suspected)
