What this board is about
This board covers heart and blood vessel conditions such as high blood pressure, myocardial infarction (a heart attack) and angina, arrhythmia and heart failure. High blood pressure, and heart attack and angina, have their own sub-rooms. Care is centred on cardiology (심장내과 / 순환기내과).
When to call 119 immediately
- When crushing chest pain lasts 15 minutes or more (it may spread to the jaw, shoulder or left arm)
- When chest pain comes together with cold sweat, nausea or difficulty breathing
- When you have fainted, or your heart is beating wildly and irregularly and you feel dizzy
With a heart attack, the sooner you reach hospital the more heart muscle is saved. Do not try to bear it and do not drive yourself. Call 119.
